Hands-on training - Weekend Classes - We supply All Materials and Tools

The workshops offered at White Salmon Boat Works are hands-on practical applications designed for the first time or experienced boat builder. All classes are presented and overseen by shop owner and wood craftsman Ray Klebba.

Shop Talk

• We supply all materials, tools shop space and individual instructions for each boats.
• We have a large selection of canoes, sea kayaks, and boat models for you to choose from.
• Classes are held all day Saturday and Sunday
• You have 4 months for building a canoe, 5 months for a sea kayak and 5 months for a row boat.
• A twenty dollar per calendar day fee will be charged beyond the allotted time.
• All of our boats are built with select full-length western red cedar.

Cost

Cost includes material, tools, shop space and individual instructions for each boat

• Canoes - $2,999
• Solo Sea Kayak- $3,899
• Double Sea Kayak - $4,199
• 14' Wherry Row Boat - $4,599
• 10' Wherry Row Boat - $ 3,999
• White Salmon Pram - $3,199

Optional wood designs can be created with exotic woods for an additional $100

State Taxes are applied for all sales except for Oregon Residents - proof is required
